City to Launch New Youth Softball Leagues for Spring 2026

The city will officially launch new youth softball leagues in spring 2026, aimed at providing local children ages 6 to 14 with opportunities to participate in organized sports. This initiative is intended to promote physical activity, teamwork, and skill development among young athletes in the community.

Registration for the youth softball leagues will begin on January 15, 2026, and will remain open until February 28, 2026. The leagues will include teams for various age groups, offering a range of competitive levels to accommodate different skill sets. Practices and games will be held at local parks, specifically at Central Sports Complex and Riverside Park.

The program is being organized by the City Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with local softball coaches and volunteers. Their goal is to establish a supportive environment that encourages participation and fosters positive interactions within the community.

Youth softball leagues have a strong history in the area, with previous seasons seeing high levels of engagement from families. Such programs not only focus on athletic development but also emphasize the importance of social skills and community participation.

Parents interested in enrolling their children should visit the city’s Parks and Recreation website for more information on registration, league structure, and schedules. For additional inquiries, contact the department directly via phone or email.
